Nolanville has a rare gift: time. It's not yet on the developers' radar—and that is exactly why we need to act with urgency and solidarity.

On August 8, we are gathering not just to protect Nolanville, but to build bridges with neighboring communities who are already in the trenches. This is an organizing kickoff, a fact-finding mission, and a solidarity rally—all in one.

The Program:

• The Teach-In (2 PM): We will arm ourselves with the facts—water usage per megawatt, noise decibel levels, diesel emissions, and the real job numbers—using case studies from nearby towns. Knowledge is our first line of defense, and shared knowledge is our strongest weapon.

• The Panel (2:45 PM): A student-led discussion designed to map out a regional strategy. Our experts will help us connect the dots between local and regional resistance:

  • Prof. Jose Martinez – The environmental and infrastructure red flags we must codify into local ordinance, drawn from real data across the region.

  • Alton Fowler – The agricultural and rural character we are fighting to preserve, and why farmers from neighboring counties are already organizing to stop the same encroachment.

  • Greg Stoker – Exposing the political machinery behind data center expansion—and how we can build a regional coalition strong enough to push back.

  • Arshia Papari – How state policy impacts the resistance to AI data centers, and what we can do to stop collusion between state and local government.
