Key Contribution Rules (U.S. House of Representatives) Contributions may be made only by individuals who are United States citizens or lawful permanent residents. Contributions are not permitted from corporations, labor unions, federal government contractors, or foreign nationals. Contributions must be made from the contributor’s own personal funds. Contributions in the name of another are prohibited. Federal law limits contributions to a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives. Contributions in excess of the legal limit will be refunded or redesignated as permitted by law. Contributors must be at least eighteen years of age. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name of the contributor’s employer and occupation for contributions exceeding two hundred dollars. By submitting this contribution, the donor authorizes the campaign to charge the credit card provided. Contributions are not refundable except as required by federal law. Recurring contributions will be charged automatically at the selected frequency until canceled by the donor.
